Hello!
Welcome to Winters and Warmth.
The idea of this blog was born during one of those contemplative rainy afternoons when I sat next to my window looking out at the beautiful world outside. It had drizzled all morning, and as the day progressed the droplets of water got heavier and heavier. There are, but very few moments that take your breath away, and sitting there by my window, looking out at the drenched earth, listening to the bleating, crowing, cawing, chirping and mooing animals all around me, I was overwhelmed with the beauty that abound my earth and for that brief moment I was transported to an eternity and back. It was wonderful!
At times like these when one is just simply amazed with all the beauty that is around, surreal thoughts cross one's mind. That afternoon I too had my encounter with a surreal possibility. I wondered about all the sad, dull and grief laden moments that we all have to endure at some point of time or another in our lives, and it occurred to me that why not share things that would prove to be an antidote for our depressions - in short, I decided to use my humble gift of pictures and words to bring in a bit of sunshine, hope and the lost cheer. Thus the birth of this blog.
You will notice that there are a few pages already in there apart from this 'About' section that you are reading. The next page contains the blog itself where I will post my letters to you - sometimes in pictures and almost always in words. And, lastly, but most importantly, I have put up a Feedback page for knowing YOU better. Do take the time out to fill it out and suggest what you would like to read about more on this blog.
Well, now that you are here, why not have a look around, and I hope you enjoy your visit and drop by often. This blog will be updated quite regularly, you see.
Love,
Me
